From backstage at the wild hare, you can’t see me in the background but at 1:15 you can see Willem, the tall nordic visiting professor from the Netherlands who works in the SONIC social network lab with me. It was a fun night and the video is smooth
As some of you may know, I used to play paintball. A lot. At my peak, I was playing 3 times a week and on two different tourney teams. I have owned countless guns, and used to make an income from trading up to help feed my fix.
It has been about 3 years since i’ve played though, and I am getting the itch again. Sadly there is little chance to play when I am a poor college student. I am seriously considering it for after I graduate. Might go pump, might go back to tourney. It all depends on ye old consulting paycheck.
Attached is one of my favorite old school paintball videos, shit was rowdy.

Stylo (feat. Mos Def and Bobby Womack) (Chiddy Bang Remix) via Rcrd Lbl
About a year ago I heard my first Chiddy Bang track, and reached out to the boys through a mutual friend. We began to collaborate on some marketing projects, cross promoting projects in order to build fanbases. They picked up some serious steam, but much to my chagrin, the original band fell apart and now all that is left are Xaphoon and Chiddera. I miss the complete band; there aren’t enough sick hip-hop bands out there
After a 2 hour session of reminiscing and looking over old blog posts, I have decided that the time is right to revive the nerd-hop blog.
Jordan and I started this blog nearly 2 years ago now with the purpose of providing a 360 multimedia experience to enhance the listening experience with the nerd-hop set of mixtapes. We wanted listeners to experience what the nerd-hop lifestyle meant to us so they could see some of the themes behind the music. We had a ton of fun doing it, so we have decided to take it back.
Expect much more frequent posting from both yours truly and Mr. Looney. We will keep you up to date on the latest happenings, funny stories, and projects we have been working on. As always, email if you ever want to reach out.
Identity will be one of the defining themes in the next five years of the Web. Nearly every site has a concept of a user account, registration, and identity. Searching for “sign in” on Google yields over 1.8 billion hits. And yet, the browser does nothing to make this experience better save for some basic auto form filling.
This is important to think about for anyone that makes things on the internet. About 10 days ago I started making a list of all the sites I log into. I’ve logged 47 sites. I access the majority of these sites with a username and password. This is not optimal, and I look forward to the future where the concept of identity is made stronger, where the user owns their identity, and where we can create new things based on this strengthened sense of who is who.
This also raises huge issues of online privacy… ie. much of the concern over services like facebook connect. Traditionally identity does not fallow you around on the web and a lot of folks like it this way. It will be a hard balance to strike between personal convenience and privacy
Caviezel then helps the Vikings fight a bloodthirsty alien.
The Vikings have British accents, even though it’s clearly established this all takes place in Norway.
Cost $47 MILLION to make — and made $59,581 in its opening weekend.
Hahaha, sorry, still laughing at that last bullet point.
And because first you must go through the disambiguation page that asks you, “Do you mean the Mitsubishi Outlander?” and you’re tempted to say yes. Vikings and aliens and Jim Caviezel. Come on.
This movie was soooooo entertaining though. the shield scene was priceless. and ron perlman crushes a dude’s head with two hammers
New Wale track off Attention Deficit called “Bittersweet,” released just a few short minutes ago on his twitter. Really looking forward to the album on November 3rd, both leaks have sounded great and Wale says he expects to have 45-55k sold in his first week. Would stream it but its a wav. file and therefore would take an hour to upload. Enjoy.
Waldo and his friends are visiting Chicago, come and find them. On September 12 a full scale Waldo hunt is going on downtown from 4pm-6pm. You can find Waldo, Wanda, Wizard Whitebeard, Woof, & Odlaw as well as a bunch of scrolls throughout the city. The boundaries are Wacker, Wabash, Congress, & Lake Michigan. Good Luck.
Might as well call this one a Bobby Ray track. Easy listening, but also good for a running mix or chill playlist. I’m not typically a fan of Pitbull, but he caught my attention on this one.
